BioPaleoconservative (not a big fan of libertarianism, liberalism or any variety of neocon-ery.) Christian. Rhetor and poet. Lover of cigars, rare words and everything to do with humane letters. College student.
In literature I like T.S. Eliot, G.K. Chesterton, John Crowe Ransom, Alexander Pope, Jorge Luis Borges, Flannery O' Connor, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Sir Walter Scott and C.S. Lewis. My prose is influenced by William F. Buckley (Especially in my love of unique words--down with E.B. White and the cult of simplicity!) In philosophy and humane letters I like Chesterton, Russell Kirk, Edmund Burke, Eric Voegelin, Cicero, Seneca, Etienne Gilson, Simone Weil, and Lewis.
I'm not Catholic, but I like Catholicism and love Catholics. Go figure.
